The location of this cozy little cottage was absolutely amazing. The surrounding scenery was stunning, especially with the beautiful river Tweed nearby. The cottage itself was tastefully decorated and had high-quality linen and towels, which made for a comfortable stay. One thing I really appreciated was the welcome goodies that were provided upon arrival, including biscuits, milk, bread, and eggs. It was such a lovely touch and made us feel right at home.
While the overall experience was fantastic, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The shower, although it looked powerful, wasn't quite as strong as we had hoped.

The berry bushes in the garden were a lovely touch, and we loved being able to handpick fresh berries. The velux windows near the bed provided a perfect view of the stars at night. Despite a few minor inconveniences, like the water being brown and the wood burner belching smoke initially, we found the cottage to be comfortable and well-equipped. The location was peaceful and there were plenty of walks nearby. I highly recommend Barns Bothy for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
